hi,everyman i discover yesterday info about gearbox 5 and 6 gang from Audi s2 and have idea if I'm install on 2.0 16v engine and haw is drive after installation 6 gang gearbox ,because gearbox seim fitment as 4cil and 5cil and compi

too much work and too much money i think.

you have to change the gearbox, kardan, rear diff, axles, shifting rod, and front subframe.

and then you will see that the compi has not enought power to drive it, acceleration will be very bad, 6 gange gearbox weights much more...

dont do it...

OK, is was just wondering if change gearbox to 6gang or is bi so bad or even better performance,about gearbox prise in home country is cost 250-500euros ,whey is need change rear diff is luck same I'm don't find any info's about diff code ar Wat is different between them.

the difference in the rear diff is the final ratio. the compi one is too short. if you use it you will destroy it. the 6 gang getribe is longer, that is why you also need the kardan, the mounting points for the axles are larger too, that is why you need 6 speed axles, and then you also need the hubs, because they have the large bearing (82mm), the compi has the smaller (75mm).

it is not worth it Sad

i nou but is will by gute to got some gut stuff pale ,on our local scrap yard is 2 s2 avant on break ,that why I'm wondering about some interesting upgrade.

with the 140 oem power of the competis, the oem gearbox should work 100 times better¡¡ because the sixth gear....with around more than 220km/h with less than 180hp..bad bad...

and anyway the oem competition box seems to be very well balanced in gear changes and ratios.

i have a audi S2 with 3B engine,and the last year swaped the oem 01A ARV gearbox for the shorter and fun 01A ASZ gearbox from coupe quattro with 7A engine....with now top speed by 245km/h / 7000rpm in 5th gear...much better than the near to 300km/h / 7000rpm with the oem 01A ARV ... with now 390hp¡¡ much more fun¡¡ and very well balanced too in the gear changes. and internally ARE THE SAME¡¡¡ only changes the gear ratios for can move better the "only" 170hp of the coupe quattros.... and it is a 1:1 swap ¡¡ Very Happy
