Headlight washers
I have seen some pictures of Competition's that have headlights washers, was this an option that you could order them whit from the factory, or have they been retrofitted ?

Re: Headlight washers
I'm asking because I have to replace the bumper on my Competition and already have a S2 bumper that have headlight washers laying in my garage. I also have the tankt whit outlet for 2 pumps, so I guess I only need som wiering and some tubing extra. My concerne is that I'm trying to keep my Competition as Original as possible, and if they couldn't bee delivered from the factory whit this option, I'm not quite sure what to do. Get an other bumper, or just install the one i have whit the washer system, and try to live whit it

every option was possible for some extra €€€, but not many people went for the because the stock compi was already quite expensive compared to a normal audi 80. so that is a factory option, and the pods make the bumper and car just look better.
if you look behind the compi bumper, you will see that the holes for the pods are already there...

Thanks for the info, then my car will definately bee equipped whit headlight washers. Is there anytyhing speciall to keep in mind when it comes to the electrical part ofthe install ? Is it serial conected whit the pump for the windscreen washers, or is it bypased so it only works when the headlights are turned on ?

Re: Headlight washers
well the stock circuit involves a special relay, that only operates when the headlights are on, and only for one or 1.5 seconds. i have connected the headlight washing to a special button on the windscreen stalks, so i can operate it independently. a better option would be to install the wiper stalks from an avant, and so use the "forward" position the avant uses for the rear wiper to start the headlight washing.
