A new compi, from Spain
I've been reading for a weeks and decided to register but so far i didnt show my compi.
It's from germany, came to spain in 2001 when my fathers bought it to my grandpa so it stayed all his life in family. This is my compi:
It was an exposition car, a garnet competition nowadays it have 155.000km and functions as the first day.
Have only a few mods, i dont want to customize it too much, only the extras that where offered or some s2/rs2 parts. It have an Azev type A R17" rims, an alarm (have attempted to steal it several times), cd-radio, the tailpipes were cutted and now have an oval one and the spoiler it's different but I like it.
Im working on mechanics (typical nonsense that come with age) it have already led position, fog and interior lights and a xenon kit, waiting to plug a rs2 lamps and probably the rear too.
Now some pictures:
Difference between wheels:
Restoring all black plastics, amazing job with the chemical guys restorer:
The engine, it now shines and there is no one dirty space... Love how it sounds
In december,I stepped on a patch of ice, a new bumper and lamps and keep rolling:
The difference between new and old one
Now:
(now it have leds)
Hope u like and apologize if my vocabulary is not correct

the paintjob looks nice, but is it a real competition just repainted?

Re: A new compi, from Spain
I know it is rare because only were made in black, red and silver but its a competition and not a modification of another car, original car papers demonstrate it.
I dont know if it was repainted because have as many years as me but if it was repainted, then all parts were removes to do it because there is no trace of another color, Ill search for the color code.

one way to check if it is the real compi, is to check the fuel cap plate, where the tyre sizes and pressures are written. it must have 16" wheels.

Re: A new compi, from Spain
Vehicle Identification No. is the same, only change in the 4 last numbers
it was bought the 13/12/1994 when it came to spain was recalled as an 80 avant cause here the 2.0 ace engine were only sold as avant.
Finally... it was repainted. the 1995's summer all engine crashed cause it got on a ditch, it went back to germany and was all changed (but the same engine) so then it was repainted as garnet. the cost of the reparation were around 20.000€ that the insurance paid . It was silver so case decided
