Engine swap questions

Im searching for some parts atm for my future engine swap but since my brother still uses the comp as a daily driver it is some things that i cant look for myself on the car.
So a couple of questions.

How is the ACE-engine mounted to the car? In earlier 80's (b1/b2) i know for a fact that the engine sat in the subframe, is it the same in the b4 competition? (or is it like in all the 5cylinder cars mounted in the chassis?)

Is there any differences on the gearbox mountings on an 4cyl/5cyl subframe?


Well, thats about all... Hope someone got a clue, tried e**a but i didnt get any smarter there

All B4 engines are attached to chassis and V6 have different mounts.

it is better to have all donor car for AEB swap. less problems with extra parts

All you need is right side engine mount from cabriolet (part nbr 8A0199308J) and front support from aeb. Some of the coolant hoses needs to be modified and/or taken from b5. Quite plug&play overall. Here's few pics

Hello. Today I founded a Audi S6 whit a 2.2Turbo engine 6 speed -gearsbox, can i make the swap from the 2.0 to 2.2 turbo ? Do i need to make major adjustments? TNX

Claudiu 05 If you really want  to go 1.8t or 2.2T  I can help you with alot of infos.  
 I will go the 2.2T way but is not a easy job. I have alot of patience
 I put 1.8T AEB on B3  80  like 7 years ago


What do you want to say with "major adjustments" ?
