It was always a dream to own an 80 competition and a couple of weeks back it finally did come true

looks like it needs a lot of love and €

thanks what i will do with the car is to strip the complete interior out of it
including the carpets
already bought a nice set of 18inch oz crono wheels will wrap em with 225/40/18 semi slick tyres
and bought a set of fibreglass fenders,now do some saving for a fibreglass bootlid and hood
i wanna make an kind of stw touringcar of it,hopefully next year a fully welded rollcage inside

and how about engine? will it be standart ACE?

dunno what engine i shall use,i already got a 2.0 20v turbo engine waiting for this project this engine can make it easily to 400bhp,but i also like an 7a 20v natural aspired engine
this is my prior project

I have one question about the engine you will use.
Is the 2.0l 20v turbo engine from the VAG family? Or have you built the engine by yourself. Keep up the good work.

Hi Benjamin we use a 2.0 bottom end from the mkV gti with on top a large port 20v audi head engine has been built by Van Kronenburg.
This engine we will use in the Golf,as for the audi i shall use the original engine

not a big update,i want to finish my golf first,but these wheels i couldnt ressist

next time i will shoot some pics of the audi i already stripped the complete interior out of it,this Friday we are going to look for the 2.3 20v 7a engine,because in my opinion they should have put this engine right from the start in this car

they have choosen the 2.0 16v engine only because the STW regulation was clear that the max woulme of the engines was 2.0 liters, so there were no other options.

how will you install a center lock on the compi?

I think we want to let them manufacture new huds with thread,otherwise with adapters
