Super car, I like the engine. I would put myself in such a motor in the car. I'm interested that you used the flywheel and clutch, from which car? Can you picture that engine?

Well lot's of things happened during this year Very Happy

Due to a finacial crisis i was forced to sell some rares from my car. So it's a serial compi, just without a rear spoiler, because i think it looks better without it Smile

Car was repainted at the most parts, because some guy really scratched the right side, so it was all on him Smile

Some pics

Good day!
I have plans to put the 1.8T to my compi too. Have you fitted it by yourself or you bought it with this engine installed?

Thanks.

Hello, good job. Kindly tell me if you found it difficult to fit the 1.8 turbo engine (A4?) And if you had to replace the gear shift? I am very interested in this change. Thank you and congratulations.
Sorry for my English but I use google translator Smile

@stellario

It wasn't difficult at all. Gearbox is the OEM ACE. Works just fine Smile

Everything came perfectly? Clutch, starter, rocker, hose cooling radiator? Engine mounts come standard to the side members B4?
What goes, transmission not short? Can you describe what about the transmission and speed / velocity?

@AleXeNoN

The clutch is from AEB, starter and rocker too. Hose cooling rad is from ACE but it needed to be pushed about 1.5 cm - nothing hard tho. Engine mounts came form the audi cabrio FL that was with 1.8 ADR engine, these mounts are p&p.

Well the transmission is kinda good for city rides. The vmax on 2 gear is about 95 km/h. I didnt really tested the overall vmax but its around 220-230 km/h.

Thank you. That is mounting standard? Only on ADR fit?

The standard mounts of 1.8T from the B5 generation should fit p&p. B6 and B7 problably not.

The budget is a individual thing really. Depends how much work You'll do on Your own, and where You'll buy the stuff needed to engine swap Smile

The best option to get all swap stuff that you will need is buying a A4 B5 1.8T Wink
I found some right hand drive A4 cars in Lithuania on sale for less than 1000 Euro Smile
Sold the unnecessary parts and engine swap will be pretty cheap Cool

Yeah, but dont forget that the engine will be in unknown shape after all. And it will require a standard service. So really, it's a individual thing. Nevertheless the 1500 eu is a minimum in my opinion.
